On their 20th wedding anniversary, James Wrighy's wife and son fly overseas to celebrate her first love's birthday. When they are kidnapped, he brings the ransom but is forced to stay behind as a hostage so the other man can go free. After waiting three years for rescue, he returns home to find his son calling another man "Dad" and his wife accepting his mistreatment. Heartbroken, he finally walks away, leaving them full of regret.
